Atera have been in the car rack systems market since 1963, making roof bars and accessories under the Atera brand as well as for the original equipment market - customers include Audi, BMW, Daewoo, Chrysler, Fiat, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Subaru, Suzuki, Vauxhall, and Volkswagen. With a commitment to quality as an ISO 9001 company they aim for everything they produce to be technically excellent, solidly built, beautifully engineered and largely pre-assembled. Most of their products are TUV inspected and given the GS safety test seal of approval.

The BIKE-LIFTS (in single or tandem version) make easy work of roof mounting; one lift can be placed on either side of the car. You slide the saddle into its carrying loop, secure it with the safety strap, hook the handlebars into their securing cradle, and then with relatively minimal effort the bike rises to the car roof. When not in use the upright can quickly be removed for storage in the boot. (Tandem version obviously has extended rails)

These carriers are well worth the investment if you aren't confident that you'll be able to lift your tandem to head height without it toppling over.




		Hooks around handlebars, loops onto saddle, the rack lifts up the bike and you then strap the wheels to the lower bars.
